Les Landes

Les Landes makes up the north-west corner of the Island and contains a Racecourse, as well as a large area of cliffs and gorse common. Breeding birds include Marsh Harrier, Buzzard, Dartford Warbler and Stonechat and it is also a top area for migrants and visitors such as Dotterel, Golden Plover, Short-eared Owl and Hen Harrier.

 

Getting There

Located on the north-west corner of Jersey, head for the racecourse at Les Landes, turning on to the track leading to Grosnez Castle     (Le Chemin du Chateau) All areas are accessible, except when the area is closed off for horse racing or shooting (not the horses!)
