Grosnez Point, on the north west corner of Jersey, is the best seawatching point for pelagic birds. Manx Shearwaters can be seen from April, in suitable conditions and by late summer, other species such as Balearic Shearwater, Northern Gannet, Fulmar, Razorbill, Arctic, Pomarine and Great Skuas are also recorded. Grosnez sits on the corner of Les Landes SSI which is always worth a look. Short eared Owl, Hen and Marsh Harrier, Dotterel, Golden Plover may be seen while Dartford Warbler, Stonechat and Skylark all breed. Getting There

Located on the north west corner of Jersey, head for the racecourse at Les Landes, turning on to the track leading to Grosnez Castle ( Le Chemin du Chateau ). Park in the car park at the end and walk through the castle arch and down the steps on the north side, viewing from the light. The whole Les Landes area can be walked, except on race days.
